Tavion Heights Opens Up About NXT Tag Title Win: “This Means More To Me Than Most Of You Could Ever Imagine”

A candid post from Tavion Heights.
One of the title matches on the bill for the August 4th WWE NXT on The CW was Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) putting the NXT Tag Team Championship on the line against the duo of Tavion Heights and NXT North American Champion Myles Borne.
The conclusion of the bout saw Heights get the pinfall victory to win the titles for him and Borne. Heights has since taken to Instagram to reflect on winning his first title in WWE:
“For those of you that have had the pleasure of knowing me deeply, you know my greatest fear.
And because I’d like for the WWE universe to know me a little better, I can divulge this to you all.
My greatest fear is being forgotten.
It’s part of what motivated me to become an Olympian—being immortalized in an Olympiad… But that’s wasn’t enough. I wanted to be immortalized in WWE as a champion for the rest of history to remember, far past even my own existence.
This means more to me than most of you could ever imagine. I am one half of your WWE NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS.
I will remain exactly that for the rest of WWE history.
You must imagine Tavion happy, but never satisfied.
A culmination of every sacrifice, every doubt, every mentor, and every bit of my blood sweat and tears. I am humbled and grateful.
