Franky Monet made her NXT debut on Tuesday, confronting NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez.
Monet is the former Taya Valkyrie, who is a former IMPACT Knockouts Champion and one of the most decorated IMPACT Knockouts of all time.
Fans were disappointed that Valkyrie would undergo such a drastic name change given her history, but she wants everyone to know that things are okay and are all part of the process of evolution.
"Hey guys, I LOVE MY NAME.....maybe since I picked it. Go figure! I could be called Sunshine Tuna and I would make it work!!! So take a breath, stop complaining and enjoy this evolution and ride with me. Thanks #FrankyMonet" she wrote on Twitter.
