Taya Valkyrie comments on her time filming season four for GLOW.
Back in February 2020, Netflix's GLOW series went into production for season four. The show, which featured many real-life wrestlers throughout the first three seasons, was set to introduce a new character played by Taya Valkyrie in the new season.
After filming the first episode, production of GLOW season four was shut down due to the ongoing crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Later that year, Netflix canceled the show before production on the fourth season could ever re-start.
In a recent interview with SHAK Wrestling, Valkyrie said that Alison Brie, among other actors that had roles in the series, would likely do well in the ring since they were being trained by Chavo Guerrero.
“I think she’d do really well because all of those girls at GLOW, they were obviously being taught by Chavo Guerrero for several seasons. I think they would do great. Allison Brie was so kind and so nice. I was scared because I’m the wrestling girl, but I had to audition just like anybody else. My acting had to speak for me, not the way I take a back bump. It was so thrilling and exciting to be in that environment, to really be on this high end Netflix show and see that world from that standpoint. I think they’d all do well.”
Back in 2022, the creators of GLOW reflected on the show's cancelation. To learn more, click here.
