Kane has returned to the WWE ring.
On Smackdown, Daniel Bryan was in a singles match against Luke Harper after Harper and fellow Bludgeon Brother Erick Rowan attacked Bryan during a gauntlet match. The match ended via disqualification with Rowan broke up a submission attempt by Bryan. The two Smackdown Tag Team Champions continued to attack Bryan after the match which brought out Bryan's old tag team partner Kane.
After Kane helped Bryan clear the ring, Smackdown General Manager came out to create a Tag Team Championship Match At Extreme Rules.
This will be Kane's fifth match on WWE programming this year and the first since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34.
The last time Kane and Daniel Bryan (collectively known as Team Hell No) teamed in a match was in June of 2013.
