Tetsuya Naito Says Wrestle Kingdom 13 Will Be The Last Match Of Chris Jericho's Career

Tetsuya Naito fires back at Chris Jericho.

Leading up to Wrestle Kingdom 13, Jericho boldly claimed that he would end the career of Naito. Now, Naito has punched back, promising to do the same to Jericho.

"You didn't show up at the 1st press conference. That made me think you were so reluctant to do a rematch with me," said Naito in a video posted on NJPW's YouTube account. "And then you showed up at the latest press conference and attacked me at Korakuen Hall on the same day. The way you have gruffly hyped it and got attention, you are truly professional. You, a self-proclaimed superstar, Mr. Chris Jericho, even said you would retire me at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in Tokyo Dome. That's a big statement, but.....I'm tenacious like a fly which you like. Anyway, while I'm looking forward to my match with you at Tokyo Dome. I have just one thing I want to remind you of. Please don't wear that lame make-up, because it's going to be the last match of your career."

Naito has continued to mock Jericho for his choice of make-up leading up to their Wrestle Kingdom showdown. Naito didn't have much luck with Jericho in 2018 as he was constantly attacked by the self-proclaimed Greatest of All-Time. At Dominion in June, Jericho won the IWGP Intercontinental Title from Naito.

The leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon will get his shot at redemption on Jan. 4 at Wrestle Kingdom 13.
