Boogey is a character in professional wrestling that has been an iconic part of the industry since the early 2000s as a creepy gimmick that fans are routinely reminded of around Halloween. Now, he has explained details surrounding his face paint.

While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, The Boogeyman spoke about his face paint, noting that it takes him three hours to apply it, as well as explaining the meaning behind the paint.

“Oh, man, this takes three hours, three complete hours for me to apply it. It’s all latex, by the way, so I’m like really burning up right now. But there’s a storyline to my face paint. As you can see, the yellow, that’s the tree of life. The dots that surround my head, the yellow dots, the white dots, and so forth, are the fallen fruit from the tree. The black around my eyes, as you can see, would be the black owl that sits in the tree waiting for the worms to come out of the ground to eat the fruit that have fallen off the tree.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Boogeyman spoke about working with Booker T. You can read more about that here.
