The Miz Calls His ‘Chick Magnet’ Gimmick Misunderstood By Fans

The Miz discusses his Chick Magnet gimmick.
There was a time on WWE programming when The Miz was portrayed as a “Chick Magnet.” This run only lasted briefly, so a lot of fans may not remember it today.
Speaking with the Battleground Podcast recently, The Miz said this version of him was “misunderstood” by fans.
“People look at it as a goof. But I didn’t feel like it was a goof. I was trying something different, something that would literally make people hate me, and it did the job.”
He was later asked if he would like to bring back the “Chick Magnet” shirt again.
“Sure, why not? I think I’ve done so many editions of the ‘Hello, I’m Awesome.’ I would like to bring back the baseball tee. I thought that was an awesome one. I remember telling our shirt people, I was like, ‘Man, I really like baseball tees. It’s gonna sell good.’ [They said] ‘It’s not gonna sell good.’ Then we put it out, it sold really well.”
In another interview, he implied that the post-match interaction between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi wasn’t planned. Fans can read more about this here.
