The Rock Doesn’t Win Golden Globe For ‘The Smashing Machine’
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson walked away from the Golden Globes empty handed.
The Rock was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his portrayal of Mark Kerr in “The Smashing Machine.”
Wagner Moura won for his role of Armando in “The Secret Agent.” The other nominees were Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Oscar Isaac (Frankenstein), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), and Jeremy Allen White (Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere).

Emily Blunt, who played Dawn Staples in the film, was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor, but she did not win either.
