Thekla Addresses Mercedes Moné’s ‘Five-Foot Dumb Blonde’ Line: “I Don’t Think She Was Actually Talking At Me… I Think Everybody Knows That”

Thekla does not think Mercedes Moné was talking about her.

After Mercedes Moné captured the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In, one of the individuals who stepped up as a potential challenger was the former champion, Thekla.

They had a segment on Dynamite, and during the exchange, Moné said the following to Thekla:

“If you think a little five-foot dumb blonde b*tch who didn’t grow up loving wrestling is gonna scare me, then you must not know who the hell I am.”

While appearing on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, Thekla reacted to Moné’s comments and does not think the champion was speaking about her.

“First of all, I don’t think she was actually talking at me. I think everybody knows that, so, if you see me, I’m not even taking that personally so, you can think whatever you want.”

Coming up at All Out, Thekla will go one-on-one with Willow Nightingale, and the winner will challenge Moné for the AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream in October.
