A ton of matches have been announced for next week's episode of NXT.
Tonight's episode saw the beginning of the tournament to crown an Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion with Akira Tozawa defeating Isaiah "Swerve" Scott. NXT would then announce that the other six wrestlers competing in the tournament will be in action on the April 22 episode of NXT.
Below are the matches that were announced:
- El Hijo Del Fantasma vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher
- Kushida vs. Tony Nese
- Drake Maverick vs. Jake Atlas
Also announced for next week's episode of NXT is a tag team match between the team of Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan Nox against the team of Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez.
Earlier in the show, Velveteen Dream challenged Finn Balor to a matchup next week after Balor took offense to Dream's comment regarding Adam Cole being arguably the greatest NXT Champion ever. WWE has yet to officially announce the matchup.
