Thunder Rosa Wants To Defend Mexican National Women’s Championship In The United States

Thunder Rosa wants to defend the Mexican National Women’s Championship in the United States sooner rather than later.

Rosa captured the title back on July 31st, defeating India Sioux in singles action at a CMLL Viernes Espectacular event at Arena Mexico. Since then, Rosa has successfully defended her title against Dark Silueta at CMLL Tarde Mexicana on September 16th, and now, her attention has already turned to her next title defense of the Mexican National Women’s Championship.

While speaking to Wish-TV in a new interview, Thunder Rosa would note that she wants to defend her championship in the United States with someone who is ready for the opportunity.

“Hopefully. I want to defend it here in the United States with someone who is ready to, you know, face me.”

Rosa also spoke about the barriers that she and her peers

“I think being a person of color when I first started wrestling was very difficult. My English wasn’t there yet, and also the look, it was completely different to like back like 15 years ago. But now with all the work that me and my peers have been able to do, we’ve been able to break a lot of barriers, honestly.”
