- The show opened with Grayson Waller talking about his appearance on WWE Raw. He then had a match with and defeated Odyssey Jones. AJ Styles appeared via video after the bell and said he would be at New Year's Evil next week to confront Waller.

- MSK challenged Imperium to a match for their tag team titles, but WALTER appeared via video and insulted the former champs. Riddle then joined the conversation and challenged Imperium to a 6-Man Tag Match at New Year's Evil. This will be Walter's first televised match on WWE programming since August.
- Tiffany Stratton won her debut match in NXT.

- Tony D’Angelo celebrated smashing Pete Dunne’s hand with a crowbar following their match last week.
- Carmelo Hayes and Roderick Strong signed the contract for the Championship Unification match at New Year's Evil.

- After smashing Andre Chase's head into the canvas a number of times earlier in the night, Harland seemingly kidnaped one of Chase's students. He was later seen carrying him up to the edge of the roof where he was stopped by Gacy before nearly killing the man.

- Von Wagner picked up a win over Malik Blade.
- Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray to retain their spot in the New Year's Evil Women's Championship Match. The two teammates argued during and after the match before Mandy Rose appeared and explained that she wanted a triple threat because she knew they'd be so consumed with each other that she could eliminate them both from the title picture with a one-two-three.
