TJ Wilson: The Reaction In The Stadium To Chelsea Green Winning The Title Was Matched By The Reaction Backstage
Chelsea Green captured the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam, winning a ladder match against Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, and Charlotte Flair.
Green has become one of the most popular superstars on screen and behind the scenes, and producer TJ Wilson revealed how happy everyone backstage was when she won.
“I thought I knew, but I thought I’ve known before and been wrong, so I just wanted to watch and enjoy. It was incredible and the right call. I really loved a little bit before she won, it looked like she had the moment to win, and then Michin and B-Fab come out. I think a lot of people thought that was going to be as close as she got to win and when she overcame it again, that made the reaction that much crazier. The reaction in the stadium was probably matched by the reaction in Gorilla. Everyone was really happy,” TJ said on Counted Out with Mike and Tyler.
Chelsea Green remains the WWE Women’s Champion, and the Interim label has seemingly been dropped.
