In June, WWE and Netflix will take fans in the WWE writer's room with WWE: Unreal.
The docuseries will be part of shoulder programming to help drive more viewers to WWE content on Netflix, the home of WWE Raw.
Speaking at the JP Morgan Annual Global Technology, Media, and Communications Conference, TKO COO Mark Shapiro discussed the project.
"This June, we're coming out with our first reality series; WWE: Unreal, which is a behind the scenes look really at how the sausage is made with the storylines in WWE. I always tell Nick Kahn, 'Careful, let's not give away the Coca-Cola recipe here,' but having said that, a little sneak into the writer's room, as evident by SNL [Saturday Night Live], is something fans and viewers of WWE want to see," said Shapiro.
An official premiere date has not been given for the series.
Elsewhere during the conference, Shapiro discussed WWE cutting down on live events. You can find his full comments here.
