Tony D'Angelo Update, Pretty Deadly Beat The Brawling Brutes | NXT Fight Size

Here is your post-NXT fight size update for October 4.

- Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo confronted Wes Lee and noted that Tony D'Angelo is hurt. He confirmed that D’Angelo has an issue with his PCL, saying that it is going a different direction from the rest of the knee. "Stacks" then expressed his belief that Lee hurt "The Don of NXT" on purpose, and his actions have consequences.

- NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly kicked off the show with a State of the Commonwealth address, dressed in some colorful outfits. They bragged about their success, noting that they have beaten everyone. The duo made fun of their competition. The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) interrupted them and challenged them to a match. Pretty Deadly defended the gold against the duo, and the SmackDown stars nearly emerged victorious. But Imperium interfered and cost the challengers the match. After the bell, Imperium fought around ringside with the Brawling Brutes.

- Carmelo Hayes battled Oro Mensah in a singles match. Mensah showcased plenty of impressive offense, but in the end, Hayes scored the win.

- The former NXT North American Champion joined commentary for the next match to find out who would qualify for the Ladder Match for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc. Andre Chase battled Von Wagner, and he delivered a valiant effort. Robert Stone interfered, but Thea Hail removed him from the equation by slamming him at ringside. In the end, Wagner clinched the win by slamming Chase to the mat. Wes Lee blindsided Hayes after the match.

- Alba Fyre attacked Toxic Attraction and drove off in their car while Mandy Rose was still inside, seemingly abducting the NXT Women's Champion in the process. The scheduled six-woman tag team bout became a standard two-on-two contest. Zoey Stark and Nikkita Lyons battled Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attraction in a Number One Contender's Match for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship. At the end of a hard-fought match, Lyons scored the win for her team.

- Wendy Choo faced Lash Legend and picked up a decisive win over her rival.

- Grayson Waller hosted The Grayson Waller Effect and noted that he got extra security to make sure that Apollo Crews wouldn't be able to interfere. He revealed that Jade and Perez will face each other in a Spin the Wheel, Make a Deal match at NXT Halloween Havoc. After the two women traded verbal barbs, he spun the wheel, and it landed on a Weapons Wild Match. Perez and Jade brawled as Apollo Crews attacked Waller.

- Crews dragged Waller under the ring, and when the later emerged, his eyes had seemingly been gouged out.

- Backstage, Sanga hyped up Nathan Frazier ahead of his clash with Axiom next week. He noted that he'll be rooting for the high-flying star. Veer surprisingly appeared and reunited with his former Indus Sher partner.

- Kayden Carter and Katana Chance discussed their roads to WWE and their passion for the business. Chance noted that she took some time away, but they kept chasing their dreams, and they made it. The duo stated that they won't let go of the titles.

- Ilja Dragunov discussed his road to recovery from his injury and noted that while he can't change the past, he can change the future. He stated that Bron Breakker is a great champion, but he'll be stepping into the ring with a machine at NXT Halloween Havoc. Dragunov emphasized how he always gives every match his all, and he'll do what it takes to win the gold.

- Javier Bernal confronted Bron Breakker and insulted his intelligence, prompting the NXT Champion to challenge him to a match next week.

- JD McDonagh previewed the NXT Championship match at NXT Halloween Havoc and noted that the smartest man will win.

- The Schism discussed to the mysterious person in the red hoodie and scolded them for their failed efforts to recruit new members. Joe Gacy told the individual that they need to do better. Grimes approached the individual, hoping to change their mind about the group, but he got blindsided by The Schism. The group beat him up, and Gacy hugged the hoodie-wearing individual.

- Gallus commented on their suspension and vowed to win gold once they return to NXT.

- Duke Hudson confronted the Creed Brothers backstage when Brutus Creed was in the trainer's room. Julius challenged him to a match and went on to score a dominant win over him. Brutus attacked Duke after the match. Damon Kemp appeared and announced that he'll be facing Julius at Halloween Havoc. Kemp was so confident he'd win that, if he lost, he'd give Brutus another match. Kemp revealed that, if he wins, Brutus will be forced to leave NXT. Julius responded by naming an Ambulance Match as the stipulation, and Kemp accepted.

- Axiom shared his thoughts on his upcoming match with Nathan Frazer next week. He noted that he expects it to be a close match, and he looks forward to writing the final chapter.

- Hank Walker competed in his first match as a contracted member of the NXT roster when he faced Xyon Quinn. Unfortunately for the newcomer, Quinn walked away with the win. But Quincy Elliot made the save when Quinn tried to attack Walker after the match, so he has apparently found an ally.

- During the Grayson Waller Effect, Waller announced that Jade and Perez will play "Pick Your Poison" in two weeks; they will select each other's opponent out of the entire WWE roster. Bayley commented and teased that she'd like to face one of the two.

- In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark commented on earning a title shot and vowed to raise the bar together. They made it clear that they're ready to show the division what a real team looks like.
