Tony Khan Responds To Cody Rhodes’ Comments About Being Disrespected In AEW, Praises Him For Saying ‘A Lot Of Positive Things’ About The Company

Tony Khan responds to recent comments from Cody Rhodes.
Back in July, Rhodes appeared on The Bill Simmons podcast before WWE’s SummerSlam premium live event in New Jersey. ‘The American Nightmare’ made some headlines while talking about his 2022 departure from AEW, saying that he felt disrespected at a place that he built with his friends.
Speaking with Case Lowe of Q101 for a new interview, Tony Khan gave Rhodes the benefit of the doubt regarding his comments, saying that he’s usually “pretty gracious” with the things he says about AEW.
“You know, he does a lot of interviews and I think when you have to say so many words so often — he works so hard, he has such a big schedule. To his credit, I bet he does hundreds of interviews a year. I’m not sure I agree with that, but I also would give him the benefit of the doubt, I’ve heard him say a lot of positive things too. For somebody that doesn’t work here and that’s involved in a competitive promotion, he’s usually pretty gracious with the things that he says. I’ve seen him since he’s been gone and it’s always been very positive and good. I have only good things to say about him and his contributions here.”
Elsewhere in a separate interview, Khan revealed that Jon Moxley entered the year injured. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
