Tony Khan Says AEW All In 2023 Was The Most Stressful Pay-Per-View In AEW History, Credits Samoa Joe For Saving The Day

Tony Khan credits Samoa Joe for saving the day at the first AEW All In.

The event, which took place at Wembley Stadium in August 2023, was kicked off by a huge contest between CM Punk and Samoa Joe. Moments before the match, Punk was involved in a backstage altercation with Jack Perry, a situation that eventually led to his firing.

Since the incident, Samoa Joe has often been crowned as a hero of the incident, as he convinced Punk to still wrestle after the altercation with Perry. Speaking with Case Lowe of Q101 for a new interview, Khan took a moment to praise Joe and said that All In was the most stressful pay-per-view in AEW history.

“The most stressful pay-per-view is the first Wembley by far. Samoa Joe saved the day there. I think it was very good that Samoa Joe deescalated the situation and also that Samoa Joe made sure that the fans got the match that they had paid to see. He went out there and everything was great and he was such a professional. That exemplifies Samoa Joe in the ring and out of the ring, the most professional man. He was so great that day and so many other times. He’s one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met, what a leader Samoa Joe is in the ring and out of the ring. A captain, a true captain of a team and I’m very blessed that he’s in AEW.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Khan stated that he wants to sign more wrestlers to dual contracts with AEW’s partnering promotions. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
