Jon Moxley won?t be wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 15, at least according to AEW President Tony Khan.
During a media call, Khan revealed that Moxley won?t be wrestling at NJPW?s major two-day show in January. Moxley is NJPW?s IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion and AEW World Champion, but he has not wrestled for NJPW in nearly a year due to the pandemic.
Since his last NJPW appearance in February, the promotion continued its American expansion, creating U.S. versions of NJPW tournaments like the New Japan Cup and the Super J-Cup as well as a weekly show on NJPW World.
Among the things NJPW?s U.S. division has created is the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title Right To Challenge briefcase, currently held by KENTA. As the winner of the New Japan Cup USA, KENTA has the right to challenge for Moxley?s title. However, there is no indication of when Moxley will return to NJPW, whether it is on a show in the United States or in Japan.

Meanwhile, Moxley is set to defend his AEW World Title against Kenny Omega on the December 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. Fightful will have live coverage of the show.
