Trevor Lee: The Appeal To MLW Was The Fact That Every Show I’ve Been To Has Been A Sellout
Trevor Lee comments on his MLW run.
In April, MLW announced that Trevor Lee had signed with them. He had previously worked for WWE from 2019 to 2024 on the NXT brand.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on In the Weeds recently, Lee was asked about his decision to sign with MLW.
“The appeal to MLW to me was the fact that every show that I’ve been to so far has been a sellout. That’s nice. The production and everything looks great as well. When you’re in this business and you’re trying to present yourself, it’s nice to have companies that will help that presentation. So it’s nice to be able to go out there and have a company that puts the money in that production process and being able to make it look good as much as we’re trying to make it look good. If you look at the matches that they’ve given me so far, they’ve given me talent that are all first-time matchups for me. My first time wrestling there was against Mistico, the top luchador out of Mexico. Then I got a match with Austin Aries, another guy that I had looked up to growing up watching that early Ring of Honor stuff. It was cool to be able to get to work with him and to get to have these matches that I’ve never had because I’m now 18 years into the business, it’s hard to have first-time matchups. That was a huge appeal of that. … MLW is gonna give me the ability to have these first-time matchups and then have it in a place where it looks good and people can see it, that’s a big deciding factor on that. So I’m very excited to be with MLW.“
