Trey Miguel Confirms He Won’t Need Surgery For Patella Injury

Trey Miguel provides an update on his patella injury.

Earlier this month, Miguel revealed that he suffered a broken patella at TNA’s Rebellion pay-per-view. At the time, he was optimistic that he wouldn’t need surgery for the injury.

On Wednesday, the former TNA International Champion took to social media and confirmed that he will not surgery. Miguel also noted that it will be about ten weeks before he can start rolling around the ring again.

“I just wrapped up at the [orthopedist], everything went well. I got to see my x-ray. It is a non displaced fracture, which means I won’t need surgery. As long as I keep my knee straight, it should be 100% again. I’m gonna start PT in two weeks, it shouldn’t take more than two or three sessions before I can self asses based on pain levels I’m experiencing. They said that they’re assuming it’ll probably be about ten weeks before I can get rolling around again in a ring. It will be three weeks as of Saturday, so I know we’ve got a little bit of a journey ahead of us but everything went smoothly today. I got a smaller brace, which feels better on my knee.”

Fightful will continue to provide updates on Miguel’s recovery as they are made available.
