Trey Miguel Retains X Division Title At Hard To Kill, Steve Maclin Pinned For First Time In IMPACT

The X Division Championship is staying with Trey Miguel.

At IMPACT Hard To Kill, Trey Miguel put his X Division Title on the line against Steve Maclin. The two men have collided before, but both times were in triple threat matches where Maclin didn't factor into the decision. Maclin had been lobbying for a singles match against Trey, noting how he's yet to be pinned or submitted in IMPACT Wrestling. Gail Kim added a stipulation to the match, however, stating that if Maclin were to lose, he can not challenge for the belt again as long as Miguel holds it.

Six-Man Tag, Mixed Tag, X-Division Title Bout, More Announced For TNA Under Siege

The match started outside the ring, with Maclin attacking Trey before he could even get in the ring. Once inside, the two men traded chances with multiple near falls. There was an especially scary spot towards the end of the bout where Maclin's head hit the guardrail on the outside after Trey hit him with a Meteora. From there, Trey hit two more Meteoras inside the ring, pinning Maclin to retain his title and hand Maclin his first pinfall loss in IMPACT. Maclin is now barred from challenging Miguel for the title again.

Maclin recently spoke with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp about his feud with Trey Miguel, and so much more. That interview can be seen here.
