Triple H gives top NXT opponents.
While making the media rounds this week to promote NXT's two-hour debut on USA and SmackDown's premiere on Fox, Triple H spoke with WWE on Fox and was asked who from NXT he would like to step into the ring with.
"In this moment, I'm gonna give you two. I'm gonna give you two because they're even. It would either be Tommaso Ciampa or Johnny Gargano. Gargano, to me, is the Shawn Michaels of the moment in some ways. And that was one of my favorite opponents to ever step in the ring with. Ciampa, I see a lot of myself there, and it would be interesting to step in the ring with him. And his style is a bit more kin to mine, so I think it would work out a little bit better for me."
Gargano caught wind of the clip and offered up the following proposal.

Shawn Michaels & Triple H reunited at WWE Crown Jewel 2018, taking on Kane & The Undertaker in tag team action. Michaels called the event a "glorified house show" and shot down the idea of working another match.
