Triple H Says He Called Hulk Hogan To Cut Ties After Racist Comments, ‘I Fired Terry, Not Hulk’

In July 2015, WWE removed Hulk Hogan from its Hall of Fame after racist comments he made in 2007 surfaced. He was not only removed from the Hall of Fame, but his digital footprint was removed on all WWE platforms.
On the “American Made” documentary, Triple H recalled being the one to call Hogan to break the news to him.
“At that point, there was still a relationship business-wise between Hulk Hogan and WWE. When all the stuff came out, I’m the guy who had to call and say, ‘We can’t move forward, Terry. We’re done,'” recalled Triple H. “Hogan is one of the biggest legends in the history of this business, that’s undeniable. I didn’t fire Hulk Hogan. I fired Terry Bollea.”
Hogan was reinstated into the Hall of Fame in 2018, and has since been honored two more times, first as a member of the New World Order, and then as an Immortal Moment for his WrestleMania III match against Andre The Giant.
All four episodes of “American Made” are now streaming on Netflix.
