Triple H Says There Is No Backup Plan If WWE WrestleMania 42 Main Events Were Affected: There Is No Backup Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns Or CM Punk

Levesque said there are no backup talents for his main eventers at WrestleMania.

The night one and two main events for WWE’s WrestleMania 42 show are listed as follows:

  • (Night One) Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton
  • (Night Two) WWE World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns

Those bouts were spoken about by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque during a sit-down chat with Joe Tessitore. Levesque stated that if there were a situation where those main events were affected, there are no backup talents who could replace those names.

“If you lose your quarterback, if you lose your first-string offensive lineman, if you lose your star center or star guard in the NBA, you have a second-string guy to back him up, and you hope that those second-string guys are pretty good. There is no backup Cody Rhodes. There is no backup Randy Orton, there’s no backup Roman Reigns, there’s no backup CM Punk.”
