The Christmas Eve episode of WWE SmackDown is beginning to take shape.
On December 17, Sami Zayn visited Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce and told them that his lawyer says he doesn't need his wheelchair and neck brace anymore. Seeing as it's the holiday season, Sami wanted to remind the WWE Officials of the giving nature of the season. Seeing as he lost his Universal Championship Match due to a pre-match beat down by Brock Lesnar, Zayn wanted another shot at Roman's belt.
Deville and Pearce then remembered that Sami loved being Intercontinental Champion and instead booked him in a Twelve Days of Christmas 12-Man Gauntlet Match. The winner of the match will earn themselves an Intercontinental Championship opportunity. The title is currently held by Shinsuke Nakamura.
