The Undertaker And Ric Flair Set To Be Interviewed As A Part Of Pastor Ed Young's Pro Wrestling-Themed Sermon Series

This should be fun.

Two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair is done competing in the squared circle but he still makes appearances at conventions for meet and greet sessions. "The Phenom" The Undertaker sporadically competes in the ring for WWE and his next match is taking place on October 6th at WWE Super Show-Down in Australia. Fellow WWE Hall Of Famers Sting and the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase are also finished with their in-ring careers for the foreseeable future. One event that those four men listed above are locked in for is a Church sermon-series hosted by Texas megachurch pastor Ed Young.

This will be a four-week series featuring the pro wrestling legends that kick-starts on September 9th and pastor Ed Young spoke about his plans while being interviewed by 'The Christian Post'.

"One of the most used metaphors in scripture regarding the Christian life is that of a wrestler," said Young. "It's a staple in our culture so I thought, 'Wouldn't it be cool to interview some of the most popular wrestlers in the world, to have them at Fellowship, and then to speak out of the scripture regarding wrestling?" Young said.

Out of The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Ted DiBiase and Sting, three our them will be interviewed live in the Church and one of the interviews will be pre-recorded and shown to those in attendance. The 'Fellowship' Church will have a wrestling ring constructed for said wrestlers who are being interviewed by Ed Young in person.

"The whole series is wrestling with God and it's a match that everyone needs to lose," said Young. "It's really probably Christianity 401. But we're using 101 techniques, a big overarching picture everyone can connect with."

Pastor Young stated that he tried very hard to get in contact with Flair, The Undertaker, Sting and Ted DiBiase but it wasn't until a close contact of his who is also a professional wrestler got him in touch with one of the interviewees that the ball starting rolling.

"We called and called and called," said Young, "We're friends with one of the wrestlers who knows all these guys and he was able to put us in contact with these wrestlers."
