WWE will celebrate Christmas in style with two big matches and a special episode of Miz TV next week on SmackDown Live.
WWE announced the following matches and segments for the Christmas episode of SmackDown:
- United States Title Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Rusev
- Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe
- Shane McMahon to appear on Miz TV and receive a special Christmas gift.

Nakamura defeated Rusev on the Crown Jewel kick-off show, but the rivalry didn't stop there. The two were supposed to battle on the Nov. 27 episode of SmackDown, but Nakamura attacked Rusev before the bout started, effectively canceling the match. Rusev has been looking for his shot at redemption ever since.
The feud between Joe and Hardy kicked off on that same Nov. 27 episode as Hardy was celebrating his 20th anniversary in WWE. During the celebration, Joe came out and warned Hardy not to overdo it with the drinking. Since then, Joe has constantly referenced Hardy's past transgressions as a way to get under his skin.
Finally, Miz has been trying to get Shane to commit to being his tag team partner for weeks now, but Shane won't give him the answer he seeks. Miz will try again on Christmas, hoping the most magical day of the year will have Shane in a good mood.
