Wade Barrett: I Used To Bully And Beat The Hell Out Of Drew McIntyre; McIntyre Responds

Wade Barrett has unfinished business with Drew McIntyre.

Since Barrett returned to NXT to provide commentary for the brand in August, fans have wondered if Barrett would leave the booth and step back inside the ring. While Barrett seems content doing commentary, he did previously mention that a match against Drew McIntyre would interest him.

Speaking to BT Sport, he elaborated on how he used to beat the hell out of McIntyre when they lived together.

"I think it's a very easy story to tell based on our history. I know him as well as anybody. I've probably beaten him up away from the cameras when we used to together. I used to bully him every night and kick the hell out of him. Pour cans of beans over his head. He'd be in the corner crying, begging for mercy. He knows that as a man, I can destroy him anytime I wanted. He's big, strong, and tough, but the truth is he knows I can batter and humiliate him. Whenever I'm ready, I can step in the ring can take whatever I want from him. He's aware and knows it," said Barrett.

All too happy to feed into the angle, McIntyre offered up the following response on social media.

For now, McIntyre has his hands full with Randy Orton as the two prepare to meet inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Hell in a Cell on October 25.
