Behind the scenes with CM Punk.
The internet was broken on Tuesday when CM Punk showed up during the closing minute of WWE Backstage. Shortly after his appearance, WWE and Fox announced Punk had joined the show as a special contributor and analyst. WWE on Fox posted behind the scenes footage which followed Punk as he was set to make his appearance.

When asked if he had nerves while heading to Fox studios, Punk said, "It's a space that I haven't been in, in five or six years, compounded by the fans that have always clamored for me to come back. Even if it's not me actually wrestling, it still feels like a big deal. Nerves are good. If you're not nervous it means you don't care enough to make it entertaining. I plan on making this very entertaining."
On how the deal came together, Punk noted, "I originally thought it was going to be a commentary gig. Like, I would call wrestling matches. I didn't know how receptive I was going to be to that idea. When they told me I was going to be like an analyst, it was described by Fox executive as being like 'we have [Alex Rodriguez] in baseball and Troy Aikman for football. You would be the 'expert' to speak on things because your authority is -- you were there and did it all.' That interested me. We met, did a test run, I was honest about it and didn't hide from it with the media. Now, here we are."
Punk is set to make his debut as an analyst on the Nov. 19 episode of WWE Backstage.
