Sharing the ring with the new Hayabusa would mean a lot to Ospreay.
There have been several occasions when Will Ospreay has paid tribute to the late Eiji Ezaki a.k.a. Hayabusa by having gear created that is akin to the gear Hayabusa sported.
In Japan, a new Hayabusa emerged onto the scene with the blessing of Ezaki's family. While speaking to 3NT Wrestling, Ospreay said he'd like to wrestle the new Hayabusa.
"I would actually love to wrestle the new Hayabusa as well. I don’t know if you guys have been seeing they’ve done a brand-new Hayabusa. They’ve got the permission from the family. So for me, I got the permission from the family to don the mask. I would love nothing more to one day step across the ring and really -- I think that would just be such a dream scenario for me…"
Coming up for Ospreay is AEW Double or Nothing. He'll be in the main event of the show against Hangman Adam Page in the finals of the men's Owen Hart Foundation tournament. The winner will challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In Texas.
