The Ayr, Scotland native talks everything NXT UK ahead of today's television taping.
NXT UK is set to hold their second set of television tapings today at the SkyDome Arena in Coventry, England and the wrestlers of NXT UK are excited for what's next for the brand coming off of the first NXT UK TakeOver event which was last month. The faction known as 'Gallus' that consists of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang have their sights set on capturing all the gold that they can in NXT UK and while recently speaking with The Mirror, Wolfgang shared that he would like to mix it up with PROGRESS World Champion and fellow NXT UK star WALTER because it is not often that he gets to wrestle someone bigger than him.
"It'll be the first time for me in Coventry. I have done a lot of places in the UK but never quite got to Coventry and so I am looking forward to going there with the NXT UK team. It's always great to go somewhere new and some of the venues that we have worked have been great. It started in Blackpool and then Plymouth and all the venues bring a certain amount of pressure to us to deliver." He said. "Recently my buddy Mark Coffey got in the ring with WALTER. I would like to get in and mix it up with him. He's a big guy and it's not often that I get to mix it up with a guy who is bigger than me. I could get my Shawn Michaels versus The Undertaker on and jump around in there like Shawn did. Mark showed that WALTER feels pain. But equally me and Mark have our eyes set on the NXT UK Tag Team Titles, which are currently held by [Zack] Gibson and [James] Drake. That tag team competition is what I'm focused on right now."
Yesterday it was reported by PWInsider that Noam Dar is moving back to Europe full-time and is set to join the NXT UK brand. Along with Noam, Wolfgang wants to see more stars from either RAW, SmackDown or 205 Live be a part of NXT UK and he name-dropped Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Jack Gallagher as names that he would like to see return home.
"It would be great to see new faces, but also some established ones coming over to NXT UK. Just like Noam Dar did recently. It would be great to see Jack Gallagher, Drew McIntyre and some of the heavyweights come across. People like Sheamus would be good." Wolfgang said. "I know these guys are megastars now, but given where they came from, it would be good to see them back."
