The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles will be on the line this coming Monday.
On the May 14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Natalya and Tamina defeated Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to become the new Women's Tag Team Champions. They had been chasing the titles for the better part of two months, losing their first opportunity on Night Two of WrestleMania 37. Thanks to a pair of one-on-one victories against Jax and Baszler, Tamina and Natalya worked their way back into contention and made no mistake their second time around.
This was Tamina's first major Championship win in WWE and only the third for Natalya.
During the opening segment of the May 21 SmackDown, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax used the brand-to-brand invitation to attack Bianca Belair. As they and Bayley beat up the SmackDown Women's Champion, Natalya and Tamina came to even the odds, which led to a 6-Woman Tag Team Match.
The match ended after a distracted Natalya was caught in a Kirifuda Clutch and tapped out. It was announced later in the show that the Women's Tag Titles would be on the line this coming Monday, May 24, as Natalya and Tamina face Jax and Baszler.
