WWE Had Little To No Internal Discussion About Pursuing Jack Perry If He Entered Free Agency

A note about Jack Perry staying with AEW.
The July 8th episode of AEW Dynamite: Beach Break featured a vignette to announce that Jack Perry re-signed with All Elite Wrestling.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select reached out to a source afterward and learned that WWE had little to no internal discussion about the possibility of pursuing Perry if he did hit the free agent market.
“WWE had little to no internal discussion regarding the possibility of pursuing Jack Perry in the case that he entered free agency, @WrestleVotes Radio on @FightfulSelect has learned.
The prevailing feeling was that he didn’t fit in WWE’s current landscape.”

The current Undisputed WWE Champion is CM Punk. It was at AEW All In 2023 that Punk and Perry got into a physical altercation backstage that led to Punk being fired from AEW and Perry being suspended. The altercation was shown on AEW television in 2024.
