WWE Issues Statement On Recent Allegations Surrounding Wrestlers

WWE has come out and issued a response in regards to the recent allegations that have surfaced in the wrestling world.

Several notable figures in the wrestling industry have been accused of abuse among other things, including some in WWE. In response to those allegations that have surfaced, WWE has sent out a full statement, which can be seen below.

“Individuals are responsible for their own personal actions. WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.

WWE’s ability to fine, suspend or terminate a WWE talent will not be, however, limited or compromised in any manner in the event incontrovertible evidence of such illegal misconduct is presented to WWE.”

The company did not mention wrestlers by name, but it did previously issue a statement when other media entities inquired about allegations surrounding Matt Riddle and Jordan Devlin.

Other wrestling companies have also publicly commented on the matter, with some announcing that it is no longer working with several of the wrestlers that have been accused. The NWA also recently announced that David Lagana has resigned from his role as NWA VP, effective immediately after being accused of sexual assault.
