NXT Heatwave recap video
Zilla Fatu opens the show, saying he thought he was going to leave Heatwave as the NXT Champion, but he didn’t get the job done. He said it feels amazing to be in a WWE ring and it’s only a matter of time because he’s holding the title. Tristan Angels interrupts Angels says Zilla isn’t the main one in his family, doesn’t look like a champion, carry himself like a champion, or live the life of a champion. Zilla says he doesn’t like Angels’ attitude and wants to beat his ass. Angels tries to strike, but Zilla ducks and runs off Angels.
Saquon Shugars and EK Prosper speak with Robert Stone in his office. They both want shots at the championship. Keanu Carver interrupts, wanting his title shot, and asks Stone what he’s going to do.
Naraku and Shiloh Hill video package
In a social media video promo, Myles Borne says he doesn’t regret what he did to Tavion Heights. He said he got Tavion before he could get him.

Noam Dar, Romeo Moreno, Sean Legacy, and Dorian Van Dux speak backstage before their tag match.

Brutus Creed & Julius Creed return to NXT, attacking both teams.
Zaria gives up the Speed Title, choosing to move forward with the Women’s North American Title. Robert Stone then informs Lexis King that his Speed Title is now defunct. Cruz Montana enters Stone’s office and wants a shot at the NXT Title. Keanu Carver returns and says it sucks to be Stone with everyone wanting a title shot.
New NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan comes to the ring and says she doesn’t need “you deserve it” chants because she earned it. She says she and Kendal Grey had one of the best women’s matches and they are now talking about how great Kelani has always been. She says they were ready to put Kendal in the Hall of Fame when she won the title, so where does this put her? Kelani says Kendal and the rest of the women’s roster will always come in second place to her. Jaida Parker interrupts Kelani, saying she earned the title, but she was also victorious at Heatwave. Jaida says she beat her the last time they met and wants to run it back tonight. Kelani says Jaida has upped her game, but she’s still below her. Kelani agrees to face Jaida next week.

Vic Joseph announces Kendal Grey has suffered vertigo and is out for the foreseeable future.

Backstage, Tavion Heights says he’s disappointed and hurt by Borne turning on him. Vanity Project interrupts, saying Heights and Borne were never friends. Heights challenges Jackson Drake.
Zilla Fatu def. Tristan Angels
BirthRight offers Zilla a spot in the group. Zilla says, “Hell no,” kicks Lexis King and scurries off.
Robert Stone introduces new NXT Champion Grayson Waller. Waller says he’s not surprised he won and title and thanks himself because he’s the one who took the risk to return to NXT and put his body on the line. He says he’s gotten calls from Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, but he’ll get back to them when he’s ready. Waller asks for his next challenger, calling out Zilla Fatu, Cruz Montana, and Tony D’Angelo. Saquon Shugars interrupts and says he’ll rattle Waller’s dome. Cruz interrupts, saying Waller didn’t beat him three weeks ago or at Heatwave. EK Prosper interrupts, saying he’s been turning heads. Mason Rook interrupts, saying Waller has pissed off all the boys in the back. Tony D interrupts and wants his rematch. Keanu Carver interrupts and says Stone has a situation. He suggests a six-man tag with the winning team facing a triple threat to determine the number one contender. Stone makes it official.
