WWE Presents Three Shows For Emmy Consideration

WWE presented itself like any form of entertainment but unique as well.

On Wednesday, WWE took part in a For Your Consideration presentation in front of the television Academy in hopes of getting nominated and winning the first Emmy in company history. The presentation started with the New Day who joked with the crowd and introduced Stephanie McMahon who hosted the presentation.

A video from the Rock played where he discussed what would become the themes of the presentation. He told the audience that working with WWE improved his "live crowd acumen" which promoted an ability to listen and react to his fans. Stephanie McMahon would continue this idea by explaining how WWE has all the elements of traditional entertainment. She compared the product to current television and movies and the wrestlers to characters in Game of Thrones.

She then brought out three panels who discussed the three shows WWE were presenting for consideration. Charlotte Flair, Triple H, Roman Reigns, and Shawn Michaels discussed the impact of the weekly live television show Monday Night Raw. Jimmy Uso, Naomi, Braun Strowman, and Alexa Bliss represented the Mixed Match Challenge which aired on Facebook video. Ronda Rousey, the Bella Twins, Nia Jax, and Sasha Banks discussed their role in the WWE 24 special named Empowered which followed the first women's Royal Rumble match.

Each show was presented for different qualities based on their presentation. The Raw panel talked about the impact of a weekly live show has had on their product. The Mixed Match Challenge panel explained the online fan feedback and working with new tag team partners and the WWE 24 panel focused on the importance of the "women's evolution" to the WWE product and the emotions displayed in the network special.
