WWE SmackDown 2/5 Viewership Drops Below 2 Million Against State Of The Union Address

SmackDown was no match for the State of the Union.

ShowBuzzDaily reports that Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live drew 1,841,000 viewers. This number is down from the 2,142,000 viewers the show drew last week. The show pulled a 0.64 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, down from last week's 0.70 rating. Both numbers mark 2019 lows for the show and are below January averages.

The big reason for the low viewership and rating came from being up against Donald Trump's State of the Union Address, which aired on FOX News and CNN. The State of the Union began at just past 9 p.m. ET. SmackDown viewership and ratings are not broken down by the hour like with Raw.
