WWE SmackDown 5/1 Viewership Reaches New 2020 Low; Draws Less Than Two Million Viewers

SmackDown's downward spiral in the viewership numbers continues this week.

According to overnight numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the May 1 episode of SmackDown averaged 1.918 million viewers, down from last week's 2.014 million viewers. This week's number is the lowest for a SmackDown episode in 2020 and the second-lowest since moving to FOX last fall. The lowest viewership number in the FOX era is the October 25 episode, which drew 888,000 viewers due to it airing on FOX Sports 1.

In the 18-49 demographic, the show drew a 0.5 rating, the same as last week and down from the 0.6 rating the show drew two weeks ago. Between ABC, CBS, CW, FOX and NBC, ABC's Shark Tank was the highest-rated show in the 18-49 demographic, drawing a 0.8 rating.

Hour 1: 1.941 million viewers, 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic

Hour 2: 1.896 million viewers, 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic
