WWE SmackDown (7/24/2026).

• Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax
• Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Chelsea Green vs. Kiana James
• Cody Rhodes and CM Punk to speak
• Gunther to speak

First Hour.

• Adam Pearce held a contract signing with GUNTHER & Nick Aldis. As part of the agreement for the match at SummerSlam, Aldis announced he would be relinquishing his position as SmackDown General Manager. GUNTHER acknowledged that Aldis was a former NWA World Champion, but he never really made it as a WWE Superstar. GUNTHER said he would Aldis to the list of retired legends after he ends his career at SummerSlam; however, Aldis said GUNTHER had been bluffing. GUNTHER & Aldis brawled before GUNTHER hit a low blow and powerbombed Aldis through the table.
• Sami Zayn complained backstage about being screwed in every turn since winning the WWE Title and losing the belt. Zayn then confronted Adam Pearce and asked him to add him to the WWE Title Match at SummerSlam, Pearce instead booked him in a #1 Contender’s Match for SummerSlam. Zayn will face the winner of a Four Way Tonight.
• Brie Bella (w/ Paige) def. Lainey Reid (w/ Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne).
  • Fatal Influence attacked Brie & Page, but Nikki Bella made the save. The Bellas then announced they would face Fatal Influence on SummerSlam.
• Solo Sikoa & LA Knight spoke to Royce Keys ahead of his match tonight.
• Chelsea Green spoke with Tiffany Stratton backstage. After that brief conversation, Blake Monroe appeared and said she had her eyes on Stratton’s Women’s United States Title.
• Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Chelsea Green def. Kiana James.
• Damian Priest spoke with R-Truth briefly before being interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Priest told Rhodes he & the boys were tired of the same people being the faces of SmackDown and vowed to drop whoever becomes the WWE Champion at SummerSlam.

Second Hour.

• Cody Rhodes & CM Punk had a face-to-face, with Punk telling Rhodes he only wanted the rivalry to be for just the title. Rhodes said that he followed the path Punk made, but acknowledged that he did not like Punk. Rhodes said he needed to beat Punk at SummerSlam to prove his point. Punk said Rhodes was lying to himself because Rhodes could not handle the pressure of taking the belt off someone he respected without making them his enemies, making Punk his only friend. Punk reminded Rhodes he would never stab him from the back because he would have the decency to stab him from the front and promised to break Rhodes’ heart at SummerSlam. They both vowed to whip each other’s asses on SummerSlam, with Punk saying nobody can touch him… not even Dusty’s kids. Rhodes was fed up and demanded his music to play to show Punk the music that will be playing on SummerSlam.
• Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Charlotte Flair def. Nia Jax via Disqualification.
  • The Baddies (Jade Cargill, B-Fab & Michin) attacked Flair, causing the match to be thrown out. Jax threw a tantrum after the match.
• WWE Championship #1 Contender’s Qualifier Match: Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest vs. Trick Williams vs. Royce Keys.
