Zoey Serrano Reflects On Promo Segment With Becky Lynch On WWE Raw, Feels She Should’ve Followed Her Gut Instincts

Zoey Serrano looked back at the segment.
Going into the 2023 women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, there was a segment on Monday Night Raw with Zoey Serrano f.k.a. Zoey Stark and Becky Lynch.
Serrano delivered a line that led to her being critiqued online. Serrano appeared on the Game Day Grace Podcast and said she doesn’t think she was courageous enough at that point to tell a writer that she should say her lines in a different way.
“I made, obviously, a lot of mistakes… People love to bring up my one promo that I had with Becky Lynch where I yell in the mic, ‘You don’t own a damn mirror?’ Or something. But I don’t know. I can’t say that’s why things didn’t happen a certain way because I personally feel like when you don’t have practice on the mic in front of millions of people and I mean literally millions — thousands in the arena and millions at home watching — the amount of pressure that comes onto you, like oh man, I gotta talk and control all of this? It’s really hard… I don’t feel like in that moment I was courageous enough to tell a writer, hey, I don’t think I should say it this way. I should say it this way, and following my gut instincts. I was doing exactly what I was told instead of knowing what was right for me.”
Serrano was let go from WWE in April 2026 after having been with the company since 2021. She held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles during her time there.
