WWE Main Event Report For November 2: The Smackdown Tag Team Champions Are In Action

Welcome to this week’s WWE Main Event report, your commentary team for the evening consists of David Otunga and Tom Phillips.

Jack Swagger vs. Simon Gotch w/Aiden English

Ryan Garcia Claims That WWE Wants To Sign Him

The match begins with Swagger getting a waist lock takedown on Gotch, Swagger then drops Gotch with a shoulder tackle. Swagger then catches a leaping Gotch and he slams him on the mat below, English interferes and Swagger eventually clotheslines Gotch out of the ring. English interferes a second time and that allow Gotch to kick Swagger in the head, Gotch gets a near fall before cranking on the head of Swagger. Gotch releases the head crank to attack Swagger with a few chops, Gotch then drops Swagger with a forearm strike followed by a clothesline for a two count.

Gotch locks Swagger in the chin lock and he transitions that into a shoulder lock, Gotch misses a charge to the corner and Swagger makes him pay with running clotheslines. Swagger hits a dazed Gotch with a belly to belly suplex and a Swagger Bomb for a near fall. Swagger locks Gotch in the Patriot Lock and that prompts English to interfere, Swagger knocks English out of the ring and he applies the Patriot Lock to Gotch again to force a submission.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Our first Raw Flashback of the evening airs, we see Goldberg’s confrontation with Paul Heyman and his violent altercation with Rusev.

The next Raw Flashback shows the Raw GM in Mick Foley giving his WWE Survivor Series Address, then the confrontation with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, followed by WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns making his presence known.

Non-Title Match

Heath Slater & Rhyno (WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions) vs. Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango)

This match begins with Fandango taunting Slater instead of locking up with him, Fandango and Slater exchange a few headlocks. Fandango drops Slater with a shoulder tackle, Slater recovers to catch a charging Fandango with a hip toss and the atomic drop. Breeze tags in and he gets an atomic drop from Slater as well, Slater gets slowed down by Breeze and he still manages to make the tag to Rhyno. Rhyno comes in and he works over the arm of Breeze, Breeze slows down Rhyno and he works him over in the corner. Fandango tags in and Rhyno nails both members of Breezango with clotheslines as we go to commercial, we return from the commercial to see Fandango working over Rhyno in the corner.

Rhyno fights back and he manages to tag Slater back in the match, Slater then hits Fandango with an axe handle drop from the top rope. Breeze tags in and he uses cheap tactics to send Slater to the arena floor, Fandango and Breeze nail a downed Slater with a double kick to the head. Fandango tags back in and he gets a near fall on Slater before holding him in the chin lock, Fandango releases the hold before tagging Breeze into the match. Breeze nails and drops Slater with a few strikes, Fandango tags in and he gets caught with a boot to the face as he leaps off the top rope. Rhyno tags in and he cleans house of the opposition, Rhyno crushes Breeze with a spine buster for a two count. Slater then takes out an interfering Fandango with a neck breaker, Breeze then hits Slater with the Beauty Shot. Rhyno catches Breeze with the Gore to get the three count.

Winner: Heath Slater & Rhyno

Our final Raw Flashback sees WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns defeat Chris Jericho, then Seth Rollins seek revenge on both Kevin Owens and Jericho.
