HOOK AEW Return Teased With Stop-Motion Vignette On 8/23 AEW Collision
HOOK’s return is further teased in another AEW vignette.
Another vignette teased the return of the former FTW Champion to AEW, playing out on the August 23 episode of AEW Collision. This vignette featured two HOOK action figures in a stop-motion fight against one another. The one wearing sunglasses was able to vanquish the other, throwing him off of a trophy case which held the FTW Title. The video featured the song “So Tell the Girls That I Am Back In Town” by Jay-Jay Johanson
Previously, his return was teased on the August 13th episode of AEW Dynamite with a vignette showing the HOOK signal shining bright in a city.
The last time he appeared on AEW programming was at Double or Nothing, where he helped Swerve Strickland, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata win the Anarchy in the Arena match.
In June, HOOK said he was recovering from a concussion and expected to return to AEW ‘soon.’
