Lash Legend Recalls Her Frustrations In NXT, Says Her Lengthy Run Helped Her Grow As A Person

Lash Legend recalls her early frustrations in NXT.

Despite debuting for the company in late 2021, Lash Legend didn’t arrive to the main roster until late 2025, where she aligned with Nia Jax. Legend has found a ton of success since then, highlighted by her near two month run with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

In the past, the ‘Boujee Bully’ has been open about her frustrations in NXT and how she wanted to be a top player for the women’s division. Speaking with Andscape for a new interview, Legend recalled these struggles.

“I didn’t understand why, if I do A through Z, then why am I not getting the things that I know I deserve, that I’m capable of holding down the women’s division, being a champion.”

Continuing on, Legend admitted that she was scared of not living up to her potential as a wrestler.

“I feel like, for me as a person, my biggest fear — and I don’t like saying it out loud — but my biggest fear is not living up to the potential that I know I have. So, yeah, that was really hard for me.”

Now that she’s in a better place, Lash noted that she can’t imagine a world where she was fast-tracked to the main roster.

“I feel like now where I’m at, I wouldn’t have even imagined being this fast-tracked, as people say, on the main roster. Yeah, I was irritated. Yeah, my patience was very thin, but I appreciate it all. And it helped me grow as a person and as an entertainer — as a professional wrestler.”
