Fabian Aichner Grateful For Run In WWE As Giovanni Vinci
Fabian Aichner is grateful for his time as that alias.
It was in 2022, while Fabian Aichner was still with WWE, that he reemerged as Giovanni Vinci. He was a part of the NXT brand and eventually made his way to the main roster as a member of Imperium with GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser.
After being kicked out of Imperium, Aichner was drafted to the SmackDown brand and had two quick losses to Apollo Crews on television. He was released in February 2025.
Aichner told WhatCulture Wrestling that he’s grateful for his run as Giovanni Vinci.
“It feels great (to be back as Fabian Aichner). Obviously, the Giovanni Vinci character or that persona was an important part of my career and I’m grateful for that experience but, having my real name back just feels a little bit more authentic, a little bit more to who I really am, a little bit more real to my values and really all I’m doing is that cliché saying in wrestling. I’m turning up the volume a little bit. I take things that are really me and I amplify them a little bit and I put that on TV and I think that’s why that first and second appearance already felt very different to me in TNA. It feels very authentic. I get goosebumps talking about it a little bit so that speaks for itself and I really can’t wait for the future.”
Aichner is now signed to TNA Wrestling. He had a singles match against Eddie Edwards on the 6/4 Thursday Night iMPACT. He won via disqualification.
