Eddie Kingston discusses dealing with being bipolar depressive, noting he doesn’t see a stigma behind it.
Kingston has always been honest about his mental health struggles, and has previously discussed being diagnosed as bipolar depressive. Now, he has discussed it further.
While speaking in a One Day At wXw documentary, Eddie Kingston spoke about his diagnosis, noting that wrestling helps him find peace. Kingston also spoke about not seeing a stigma in being bipolar depressive.
“Man, I still do the indies because it helps my mind. A lot of people know I deal with a chemical imbalance. You know what I mean? I’m a bipolar depressive, and I deal with it and Zoloft and all that, and I tell everybody that because I don’t care. I don’t see a stigma behind it. I am what I am. You know, and I’m trying to change and be a better person every day. But to feel that and have the crowd chant and remember me indies and places like wXw puts my mind at ease, even though it’s only for a second. But God, man, to have that second of peace, that’s what the pro wrestling ring is to me, is peace.”
Elsewhere in the same documentary, Eddie spoke about what it means to him to wrestle for wXw again. You can read more about that here.
