Candela Expresses Excitement About Competing In 2026 CMLL Amazonas Universal Title Tournament
Candela speaks about her participation.
The 2026 CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship tournament is underway, and the action started on October 2nd.
Candela, Hera, Olympia, Princesa Sugehit, and Sanely defeated Dark Silueta, Keyra, Persephone, Reyna Isis, and Zeuxis to make it to phase two of the tournament.
Ahead of the bout, Candela spoke to Fightful’s Luis Pulido and expressed her excitement about competing in the tournament.
“I’m excited, I’m happy. This is the second time I’ve participated in this round. Last year I also had the opportunity to take part, but this year is different, since we’re going to face nothing but Heel Amazonas in this format. Obviously, the pressure is immense because there are different generations of Amazonas and different ways of being a ruda, so I’m excited, I’m nervous, but I’m motivated because fighting against people of such stature, caliber, and standing always pushes us, as rookies, to work even harder to go head-to-head with the veterans.”
The tournament is going to wrap up in two weeks as of this writing. Fightful will have coverage of the tourney winner.
