Angelo Reyes Says McGregor Not Lasting Past Round Three

Coach Angelo Reyes is one of the best boxing coaches in the world right now and he is working with Floyd Mayweather as he prepares to face UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor this August.

The famed boxing coach believes that when the duo meets in the boxing ring, the UFC Lightweight Champion won’t last past the third round.

“Mayweather will knock him out in three (rounds) or less,” Reyes said to MMA Junkie Radio. “Everybody thinks, ‘Oh, well, Floyd is just going to dance around.’ Not in this fight. And he doesn’t dance around. I don’t think he dances around anyway. You have to truly understand the craft of boxing to really understand what he does.”

Mayweather is going to have a huge experience advantage over McGregor when they battle, as McGregor is making his professional boxing debut in this fight.

Reyes even points to the battles McGregor had with Nate Diaz as a reason why the Irishman will get knocked out.

“Arguable. I can argue it,” Reyes said. “(McGregor) didn’t dominate Nate Diaz. … I’m just saying that he didn’t beat the heck out of Nate Diaz.”

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
