After news broke on Thursday night that Khabib Nurmagomedov has officially retired from MMA and will relinquish his UFC lightweight title, it was also made official that Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler will now fight for the vacant belt at UFC 262 in May.

Oliveira is finally awarded a much-deserved title shot after getting a dominant win over Tony Ferguson back at UFC 256 which extended his winning streak to eight fights in a row.

For Chandler, the story is very different. Chandler has only had one fight in the UFC and has already been awarded a title shot. Chandler announced his arrival to the UFC at UFC 257 where he scored an extremely impressive knockout win over Dan Hooker.

Both Oliveira and Chandler have taken to social media to react to the news that they will both be receiving title shots next.

Chandler reacted with his trademark saying "see you at the top".

Then Oliveira reacted by saying "let's go!"
