Chas Skelly vs. Jamall Emmers Cancelled In The Cage At UFC Vegas 19

Chas Skelly made the walk to the Octagon at UFC Vegas 19, but Jamall Emmers never showed up.

Skelly spent an unusually long time in the Octagon on Saturday. UFC commentator Brendan Fitzgerald subsequently revealed that Emmers was suffering "major back spasms" and his body was "shutting down." UFC announcerJoe Martinez soon after announced the bout's cancellation in the cage.

Skelly could be heard asking commentator Michael Bisping if he would still receive a win bonus. During the post-fight interview — if you can even call it that — Skelly was completely respectful of his opponent. Skelly reiterated that he deserves his win bonus, express concern over cutting weight again so soon, and hoped that Emmers was doing alright.

A fight between Drakkar Klose and Luis Pena was cancelled earlier today after one of Klose's cornermen tested positive for COVID-19. The card was delayed a half-hour as a result.

Fightful will keep you updated on Emmers' condition as more information rolls in.
