Conor McGregor Interested In Second Bout With Max Holloway

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor hasn’t competed since a fourth round submission loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 229.

While no comeback fight was announced at this point in time, one competitor that McGregor wouldn’t mind fighting again is UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway.

“It’s certainly a fight I’m interested in, young Holloway,” McGregor said to Ariel Helwani of ESPN (via KHON 2). “It’s not as easy as you think to move up a weight division."

Holloway and McGregor have battled once before, with McGregor scoring a unanimous decision victory at UFC Fight Night 26 in August of 2013.

McGregor doesn’t seem to have any hate for his former opponent, but rather a lot of respect for Holloway.

“I have a lot of respect for Max," McGregor said. "Max is definitely up there at the top of the list.”

The UFC Featherweight Champion wasn’t the only fighter McGregor said he wanted to fight, as former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson, former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and others were mentioned as well.
